Under the Adopt an Animal Program, Central Zoo is deeply committed to the rescue, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of wild animals. Our dedicated team provides regular veterinary services and daily husbandry practices to ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of every animal in our care. The program emphasizes species-appropriate, high-quality food along with habitat and dietary enrichment activities that encourage natural behaviors and promote physical and mental wellness. Comprehensive animal welfare services—including continuous health monitoring, preventive care, and enrichment programs—are at the heart of creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for wildlife. Each year, the zoo rescues and cares for around 400 animals, including mammals, birds, and reptiles, making this program a vital lifeline for both individual animals and broader conservation efforts.
