Objective: To provide preventive medicines and treat sick and injured animals.

Preventive medicines, such as those against internal parasites, were used in all species. A total of 444 animals of 53 species were treated medically. All birds were treated with supportive medicines (calcium and minerals). Thirty-eight animals were given preventive medicine in nursery and quarantine area. Sixty individuals of seven species of hoofed animals were given supplementary medicine (Calcium). Seventy-six individuals of twelve species of hoofed animals were provided liver tonic as supplementary medicine.  Regular treatment of sick and injured animals, both from the zoo exhibit and rescued animals, was done according to the nature of the disease and its signs and symptoms. Supplementation of calcium and vitamins were also done on a regular basis at certain intervals.
